William (Billy) Hutto

Funeral services for William Hutto (Billy), 77, 0f Camilla will be held Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 2:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Ed Green and Rev. Craig Foister will officiate and interment will be at Hopeful Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Melvin Hooks, Kelvin Hooks, Gabe Hooks, Tyler Hooks, Casey Thomas and Jake Hooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Hall, Danny Hall, Lamar Batchelor, Ricky Barfield, Scott Weaver, Bryant Rykard, Freddy Hooks, Jack Thomas and Howard Scarbrough. Born November 11, 1948 he was the son of the late William Henry, Sr. and Lilla Mae West Hutto. Mr. Hutto passed away Monday, December 1, 2025 at Savannah Court in Camilla. He was retired from Georgia Power at Plant Mitchell, was a member of the Georgia Power Union, NRA and PACE and held a masters degree in accounting from Georgia Southern. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Hooks Hutto of Camilla; daughter, Ashley Cochran (Steven) of Sale City; granddaughter, Lakelyn Cochran of Sale City; a brother-in-law, Otis Allen of Hopeful; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great great niece, an aunt and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Deborah Hutto. Contributions may be made to Hopeful Cemetery.
