William H. McCormick, Jr.

Memorial services for William Howard McCormick, Jr., will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025, 11:00AM, at Hand Memorial Methodist Church.  Rev. Kathy Israel-McLeod will officiate. Born August 18,1950 in Atlanta, GA, he was the son of the late William Howard, Sr., and Eloise Higgins McCormick.  He passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville.  Mr. McCormick served in the United States Air Force and retired from Grady General Hospital as a steam engineer. Upon relocating to Pelham, he worked at Pelham Garden Center. He loved his time at the Garden Center, he loved gardening, sailing, fishing and riding horseback.  He was a member of the reenactment team for the 19th GA Calvary.  He loved to have fun and joke around.  He is survived by his wife, Patricia McCormick, daughter, Katherine Gleason (Andrew), son Scott McCormick, a brother, James McCormick, three sisters, Patricia Gaines (Glenn), Charlotte Diaz-Matosas (Winston), and Tammy Weaver (Michael), numerous nieces and nephews and a dear family friend Diane Ragan.  The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM at Hand Memorial Methodist Church.
