William Larry Williams, Sr., 69, of Pelham, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Born November 15, 1956, he was the son of the late William Thomas Williams and Alice Mabel Jones Williams Young. He was married for forty-four years to Gloria Bowen Williams, who survives. Mr. Larry (as he was known) was a member of Hopeful Baptist Church, a retired sewing machine mechanic and semi driver, having last worked for Broadleaf Trucking Company in Moultrie. He was owner and operator of Wild Bill's Pony Rides, where he took his ponies to festivals, such as Pelham Wildlife, and also children's birthday parties. Along with his wife, Gloria, he is survived by his children, William (Bill) Williams, Jr (Elainia) of Pelham, daughter Madalyn Haire also of Pelham, and Jonathan Baschall of Thomasville; grandchildren Logan Godwin, Blayne Baschall, Brooklyn Baschall, Zackary Haire, Riken Haire, Davin Haire, Kelli Mae Williams, and William Williams, III. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Betsy Bolton and a brother Thomas Earl Williams. Arrangements for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
