Mr. Evan Wiley Sellers, age 86 of Lost Forest Road, Blairsville, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2020 in the Chatuge Regional Nursing Home following a short illness. Evan was born on May 13, 1934 in Pelham, GA., son of the late Henry Cecil Sellers Sr. & Rosa Lee Shockley. He owned Francis Plating Company & Gil’s Welding in California. Evan was a builder; having built the house he and his wife lived in. He is preceded in death by two brothers; Richard Sellers & Randall Sellers, two sisters; Fannie Hall & Elizabeth Ray; also two daughters. Evan attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Survivors include his loving wife; Mary Sellers of Blairsville, two daughters; Kim Sellers, Kendi Sellers of Seattle, WA., son; Kevin Sellers of Grand Junction, CO., one sister; Gloria Evans of Lake Park, GA., two brothers & sisters-in-law; Cecil & Glenda Sellers, Gene & Tina Sellers all of Pelham, GA., sister-in-law; Betty Sellers of Pelham, GA., two grandchildren; Takoda & Summer Sellers. Several nieces & nephews also survive. A funeral mass will be held on Friday November 6, 2020 at 9:00am from the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Blairsville with Father Mario Lopez and MSGR. J. J. Fennessy officiating. Special music will be presented by Ron Gaucher & Maryanne Englemann. Military honors will be presented by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment will follow on Saturday November 7, 2020 at 12:00pm from the Pelham Cemetery in Pelham, GA. The family will meet with friends after the funeral mass at 1:00pm at Mountain View Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
