Robert Gordon Carroll

Robert  G. "R.G." Carroll, 89, of Pelham passed away after a brief illness on Monday, October 4, 2021 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Reverend David Pickering will officiate.  Born September 12, 1932 in Grady County, GA, R. G. was the son of the late Gordon and Inez Levar Carroll.  He was retired from the Pelham Phosphate Company and was a member of First Baptist Church of Pelham.  Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Jeanette Poitevint Carroll, two sons, Allen Carroll (Donna) of Cumming, GA, Donald Carroll of Thomasville, GA, and daughter Jean Mitchell (Randy) of Cairo, GA; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brothers Levon Carroll (Peggy), Jimmy Carroll (Patricia) and sister Annette Cone.   Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
